This summer, Kyra Sedgwick reprises her Golden Globe-winning role as Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson in the fifth season of TNT’s “The Closer.” Her work as the LAPD’s master interrogator has also earned her Emmy and SAG award nominations.
The 5th season of “The Closer” begins Monday at 9pm on TNT. She talks about the show, and some of the changes her character will undergo in this interview with Tony, Lauren, and Jillian.

To the people who play the game, Kabel is just a simulated character controlled by them. But to the people who hate the game ,and think it’s high tech slavery , Kabel is the main tool to bring an end to the game and it’s inventor. The Bernard Madoff Ponzi scandal has touched many people, including the family of actress Kyra Sedgwick, but on the brighter side, the new season of her hit series, “The Closer,” is under way, and getting rave reviews.
“The Closer” just resumed its fourth season. Sedgwick stars as Los Angeles Police Department Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson.
This year is different than the others, however, Early Show co-anchor Harry Smith pointed out.
“It’s actually just five episodes, but it’s really great. It’s a lot of personal stuff for Brenda,” Sedgwick said.
Sedgwick says the ante has been upped this time around with pushing personal stories.
